Eagle Bend is a National Historic Registry property and home to 50 award winning alpacas. We are the first alpaca farm in the northern KY area, and, with the addition of a small flock of Cormo sheep, have built one of the finest fiber herds in the state of Kentucky.
As a fiber farm, Eagle Bend offers educational opportunities for fiber enthusiasts, knitters, crocheters, hand spinners, and weavers.
Our on-site Yarn & Fiber Shoppe contains luxurious finished goods for the discerning shopper as well as yarns made from our alpaca and sheep herd. We specialize in all natural fibered yarns! Various classes are available throughout the year to enable you to improve your knitting/crocheting skills, or to teach new techniques. As we strive to improve your knowledge of your handcraft, we introduce you to fiber on foot. When our schedule permits, we like to take you into the barn and pasture to handle the fiber as it grows on the sheep or alpacas. Understand this is not always possible, but on those occasions when we are able to do so, we want our knitters/crocheters to see how fiber is grown. Again, this is not always possible, but when it is, it's a joy to experience.
We hope you will visit and spend a few hours with us, enjoy the country life among the peaceful presence of our alpacas, and enhance your knowledge of farming and the lifestyle it offers.
