We appreciate the interest people show to our farming venture.  As we are a working farm, unsolicited visits are not appropriate and we cannot accommodate farm visits.  Please read the following section on farm tours.  Also, please read the posted signs on our farm which state, "NO Tours without an appointment"  and most importantly, "Visitors must be accompanied by staff".  We cannot have people wandering on our property without permission.

Feel free to call us at 859-750-3560 to ask questions.

Eagle Bend is a working farm and care of our animals comes first and foremost.  Though alpacas a very cute, they prefer not to be handled and with that in mind, we remind you that this is NOT a petting zoo.  Our focus is on education.  Impromptu visits with the expectation of a tour is not possible within the scope of our farming responsibilities.  We ask that you understand and be respectful of our time and work constraints.

No tours will be conducted without a pre-arranged appointment made by calling 859-750-3560.  We can be contacted initially by emailing us at linda@eaglebendalpacas.com to discuss the needs of your group.

Educational farm tours are designed for groups larger than 10 persons.  Groups that often schedule are Senior Citizen or Retirement homes, home schoolers, mom's groups, garden clubs, homemakers, Red Hat Societies, Sierra Clubs, scouting troops, college ag groups, etc.  We welcome a variety of organizations but we are no longer offering tours for small individual family groups of less than four persons.

Tours are designed to bring the participants up close to alpacas in their normal habitat.  Some alpacas are friendly and will approach people while others will be shy and evasive.  Tours are on foot and involve walking on uneven terrain.  People with ambulatory issues may want to consider this before scheduling.  Wheelchairs are not advised since we will be walking on gravel.  Light weight strollers actually work for moms with small children.  We are handicap accessible.

No tours will be conducted in inclement weather which includes rain, snow, and wind.  Tours for all groups are discontinued November 30 thru April 30

Tours last one hour.  Because of our heavy booking schedule, it is important to arrive on time.  In groups, the organizer should collect fees in advance and pay upon arrival.  We are unable to accept credit cards for the tour, cash only, or a check that covers the whole group.  The Yarn & Fiber Shop can be visited at the end of your tour and we accept all major credit cards in the store.

At Eagle Bend, we look forward to serving you, insuring that you enjoy your learning experience, and increasing your awareness of farming fine livestock.  We can offer your group a wonderful experience at our farm!

Yarn & Fiber Shoppe hours are daily, Tuesdays 1 to 7, Wednesdays thru Saturdays

from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
