The Yarn & Fiber Shop at Eagle Bend Alpacas is a multi-purpose facility. Opened in November, 2008, this unique, small building is utilized for display and sell of finished goods made from our alpaca fiber.. We have increased our square footage to provide a room for education and fiber activities.  As a full service yarn store (in addition to the gift shop), we offer a variety of activities for our customers.

The Fiber Studio is also a comfortable setting for greeting visitors to the farm, particularly those who come to inquire about alpacas as a business or lifestyle. It provides a meeting room which enables in-depth discussions. Various aspects of the alpaca industry can be seen within the walls of the Yarn & Fiber Studio, bringing a fuller viewpoint for those who are seeking information.

The Yarn & Fiber Shop provides a place for educational seminars.   Seminars will be held, along with classes for spinning, weaving, and felting.  We have daily activites for knitters & crocheters with a schedule that includes help & fix-it sessions along with Beginner Knit/Crochet classes.  Tuesdays focus on open knitting with Help/Fix-It time.  Wednesdays is Crochet Clique day, Thursdays is Sock Club,

Fridays are open knitting and Quick Knitted Gifts, and Saturdays are open knit with speciality KALs that will be announced on our facebook page.  Be sure to check our Events page for dates and seminar offerings.  The store is a hub of activity and a place to relax while you knit or crochet.  As Kentucky's first "destination yarn store", we welcome knitting groups who want to pre-arrange a time to visit and tour the farm, then sit-and-knit.  Call ahead to schedule!!!

 

The Fiber Studio serves as a small gift shop for the discriminate pursuer of alpaca goods. End products made from our herd are on display and are available for purchase, in addition to many

fine yarns for knitters and crocheters.  We also carry weaving supplies in the form of rovings and

batts, along with core spun yarns and raw fiber is available for hand spinners.
